I'm a Cognitive Behavioral Coach in Seattle with 15+ years of experience using CBT principles to help professionals identify and change the thought and behavior patterns that no longer serve them.
Whether you're struggling with self-doubt, feeling overwhelmed by constant pressure, or sensing something is missing despite your success, I work with you to build the self-awareness and inner strength that transforms not just how you feel, but how you show up in the world.

Develop a life of peace and resilience
Akeso (pronounced ah-KEE-so) is the name of an ancient Greek goddess who stands for the healing process (rather than a cure). The name was chosen to emphasize that meaningful change takes time and happens through incremental steps. This philosophy guides everything I do - real transformation isn't about quick fixes, but about developing deep self-awareness that creates lasting change in how you relate to yourself and others.
The Space I Create
I bring warmth, empathy, and genuine curiosity to every session, combined with the directness needed for real growth. My approach is collaborative - I ask insightful questions that help reveal blind spots in your thinking while creating a non-judgmental space where you feel truly seen and heard. Whether you're navigating culture shock, industry challenges, or deeply personal dilemmas, I provide the safety and support needed for honest exploration.
When People Seek My Help
People often come to me when they're feeling disconnected from their confidence despite their achievements, struggling with the emotional weight of big transitions, or needing support as a member of underrepresented communities. You might be dealing with imposter syndrome that undermines your success, overwhelm from constant pressure, or simply sensing that something is missing despite outward accomplishments. My clients value having a safe space to explore sensitive issues while gaining practical tools that create real, lasting change, without the barriers of insurance networks or medical diagnoses.
Why Akeso Coaching?
How does it work?
The process begins with a complimentary 15-minute discovery consultation, where we'll discuss your specific situation and determine if cognitive behavioral coaching is a good fit for your goals.
If we decide to work together, our initial sessions focus on understanding your background, your story, and what brought you to seek coaching. I ask thoughtful questions to get to know you as a person, then our work naturally evolves to follow whatever topics and challenges you bring to each session, with me listening deeply and offering insights when helpful.
You are my sole contractual partner, and complete confidentiality is maintained. I prioritize in-person coaching at my White Center office, creating a dedicated space for focused work without digital distractions.
Regular sessions every 1 to 2 weeks provide the consistency needed for lasting change. Many clients begin to notice shifts within the first few sessions, though lasting change typically requires several months of consistent work.
Please note: Our cancellation policy requires at least 24 hours' notice, and late changes may incur fees.
Akeso Coaching acknowledges and is honored to work and live on the unceded ancestral territories of the indigenous Southern Coast Salish, Duwamish (dxʷdəwʔabš) people.
